happening in amritsar

so at last i reached amritsar ....so in morning only we went to campus of ACET ... firstly we were bit confused about what to do but later saw our Head of deptt there (who reached on his own)

we went to him n on enquiring he gave us our admit cards . n we were shown our hall for pre placement presentation usually done by many companies . we went there n after 10 minutes the story unfolded .The HR started the presentation on video conferencing n gave an excellent description about infosys ,the facilities we wud be having ,the Infosys status in IT companies today. after all induction stuff she started telling us about our designation

JOB DESIGNATION :-- software engg

PACKAGE :-- 3.0 lakh p.a

BOND :-- 1 year

training at mysore...



so after this many students started shooting questions at her n she defended or u can say saved herself in an usual HR manner (i.e not revealin a lot n also answering ur doubt). i didnt asked any question at that time because we had just reached amritsar so were feeling damn sleepy.

After the presentation we were asked to come to examination hall for the real acid test..



i knew from my preparation n analysis of there papers gathered from net that it wont be a cat walk so bacame damn focused n started remembering all my fundas which i gathered for past few days.we were asked to sit as per our choice . before starting of paper they make u fill a form

that contain all your info .

after this, the test begins . It consists of 2 sections :--Maths n english

Math

in this section all aptitude questions comes .like those in cat paper. topics covered are distance time , linear algebra, figure questions etc

English

its more of 11th and 12th CBSE based. comprehension,grammer , give heading to a paragraph

Its easy than maths...(exceptions do occur)

after the paper it was a 2hr break n exactly after that the result cames n luckly i was selected ,..

we were asked to come for interview the same day ,infact in 15 min .mine was the first turn .

i went in the room full of butterflies in my belly and it all started .. in beginning were general question abt me n my hobbies .. thn some maths question of class 10th which i again answered

he went onto ask abt politics n there my downfall came. i had no clue about what he asked.after 1 hr it all ended n i came out . we were 8 from our university n when result came 6 were selected.

All were damn happy n visited Golden temple.....

day i got to know abt infy coming for selection

it was a normal morning on 5th April 2007 .. prepared as usual for college...n went to class 1 hr late as we mostly do.... that day by mistake i saw the notice board n it was written there
INFOSYS COMING FOR 6TH SEM ON 10TH APRIL IN ACET,AMRITSAR...(me from jammu )
so after reading this, my eyes lit up like they usually do for playing cricket...I started planning for my approach .. that day only i went to bookstore to get books like puzzle to puzzle n many more....
Came home took many paper from internet of infosys ...someuseful sites placement paper.com,geekinterview.com,fresherworld.com.

for next few days till 9th i prepared for infosys . n thn on 9th we had to leave for infosys paper to amritsar.we boarded the train n reached amritsar wid full of excitement.....we were 11 frnds in all...
